Name: Maresa

Title: Minister of Music

Marital Status: Married to Ken for 18 years

Education: Some college, and three years of piano at Hartt School of Music, University of Hartford, Connecticut

Hobbies: Maresa loves traveling, reading and collecting music boxes. Playing the piano and organ are also her
passions.

Experience: Maresa was born in Hartford, Connecticut and has attended Community Baptist Church at various times
since she was in elementary school. When she was a teenager, her family moved to San Jose, California for six years,
and during that period she became a substitute organist for a local American Baptist Church. Upon moving back to
Connecticut she and her family returned to Community Baptist Church where as well as worshiping at the church, she
also became the substitute organist. In 1978 she moved to New York for five years, and it was at that time she was first
introduced to a handbell ministry. Maresa returned to this area for good in 1983 and established a handbell choir at
Community Baptist, along with her responsibilities as substitute organist. In November of 1996 Maresa was hired by
Community Baptist Church to be the part-time Minister of Music, which involves playing the organ each Sunday,
directing the vocal and handbell choirs, and playing and singing in the church Worship Team.

When not ministering at Community Baptist, Maresa is involved with a charitable Masonic organization called the
International Order of Eastern Star. This group helps out in the community, raising funds for various disease research
projects and provides support for those who are needy and in distress. Maresa's musical talents are used at Eastern
Star, where she plays the organ at their meetings.

Maresa is very excited about how God is working through the music ministry at Community Baptist Church. Maresa's
musical gifts are a blessing to all who minister with her, and she is delighted that through the various styles of music,
many different people are being blessed.
